Alison Krauss is 33 years old and is a country musician and country singer. Her career has been impressive, having released her first album at age 16. Krauss is with Rounder Records and it is with this company that she has released ten studio albums to-date.

Krauss has 17 Grammy awards to her name, and several awards from the Country Music Association and International Bluegrass Music Awards. Most of her albums have made it to platinum and gold certified categories. Total album sales are worth about $7 million so far.

Also involved in movie soundtracks, Alison sang the theme songs for Cold Mountain (“My Ain True Love” and “The Scarlet Tide”) and Mona Lisa Smile (“What’ll I Do”). She also recorded three songs for “O Brother, Where Art Thou”?

The Union Station group and Alison Krauss shared credits for the documentary film and soundtrack for “Down From the Mountain.” Alison has also displayed her singing talent in other movies like “Twister”, “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil” and “The Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood”. Both Union Station and Alison Krauss performed in several television shows in 2004, as well as appeared in numerous national magazines and publications.
